Hi, my name is Sophia and I work remotely as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Acro Service Corporation, working primarily MSP program managers and executive shareholders to provide data based solutions. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Concordia University Portland.
I’ve had a lifelong fascination with puzzles and pattern discovery. Before entering the data field formally, I was naturally implementing data collection and rough analysis in past professions. Now with a toolbelt of data related skills I've found joy in sorting, discovering, and resolving the puzzles found within a given dataset.
My obsession with puzzles does not contain itself to my working life but extends into all aspects of me. As a college track and field athlete, I found my puzzle in the precision required to throw a javelin or maintain velocity through a triple jump. In my social life, this has blossomed into running and playing within multiple tabletop rpgs, always staying one step ahead of my players.

This course covered the essentials of Azure, giving an inside look at working with its cloud-based storage and networking services. It explored Azure management tools, controlling costs, managing an Azure account, and configuring options via PowerShell. Additionally it covered setting up web apps, virtual machines, Active Directory, and VPNs.
This course covered how to effectively leverage Google Tag Manager. How to best work with accounts and containers, leverage the Google Analytics built-in tags, work with control versions and user access, create custom variables and JavaScript, fire Google Analytics events using triggers, and more.
This course explained how to use Google Analytics to measure traffic, conversions, ad performance and ROI, and to identify how people use your website. I also learned how to glean insights from the vast array of data available—from averages and segments to trends and context.
This course covered the basics of programming computers using Python. it covered the basics of how one constructs a program from a series of simple instructions in Python.
This course introduced the core data structures of the Python programming language. It moved past the basics of procedural programming and explore how one can use the Python built-in data structures such as lists, dictionaries, and tuples to perform increasingly complex data analysis.
In this course I learned how one can treat the Internet as a source of data. I scraped, parsed, and read web data as well as accessed data using web APIs. I worked with HTML, XML, and JSON data formats in Python.
This course went over the basics of the Structured Query Language (SQL) as well as basic database design for storing data as part of a multi-step data gathering, analysis, and processing effort. The course used SQLite3 as its database. In the course, I build web crawlers and multi-step data gathering and visualization processes. I used the D3.js library to do basic data visualization.
I gained hands-on experience and learned how to create and maintain relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle and MS Access. Concepts covered included database and table creation, primary keys and foreign keys.
